Reverend Cheryl is a Wedding Officiant registered as clergy with Canadian Institute of Metaphysical Ministers and authorized to perform spiritual ceremonies in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Yes. In order for the wedding to take place the ceremony must be witnessed by two people, eighteen years of age or older and be legal Canadian citizens.
Please fill out the online questionnaire providing your ceremony date and time. I will respond within 48 hours to confirm my availability along with a "next steps" email.
The couple must visit a registry agent office, bring acceptable identification and any necessary documents (like divorce documents if applicable), and complete a marriage license application. This is then provided to Reverend Cheryl to create the proof of marriage documentation required for the ceremony. The couple must bring their marriage license to the ceremony if not given to the Reverend prior to the ceremony.
The marriage license obtained at the registry agent office is the official document required to perform the marriage. It is the legal document required by vital statistics that is filed as within the province of Alberta. Please note; currently in Alberta couples who want a copy of their marriage license must apply for it at a registries following the service. There is a fee.
The proof of marriage documentation is provided by the Reverend that proves the marriage has taken place and can be used as verification that a marriage. The proof of marriage is used to verify a name change, bank applications, insurance benefits and tax filings.
No. Ceremony rates are based on the format chosen regardless of how many guests are in attendance. There may be small fee for travel if it is further than 45 minutes form the city of Edmonton.
The marriage license is valid for 90 days from the date acquired.
You will be sent a save the date confirmation contract and asked for a deposit that secures the price and attendance of the Reverend.
No. Cheryl is not affiliated with any organized religion. However she is registered clergy and her ceremonies do contain a spiritual component.
Yes. Reverend Cheryl can perform any tradition, ritual or blessing from your culture, or assist the couple in performing their own.
